Sue is a graduate of Roberts Weslyan College in Chili, NY where she earned a B.S. in Human Resource Management and Accounting. She worked various places in New York and retired as Comptroller from Quail Valley Golf Club in 2008. She has been married to Kenneth Bartl for 21 years and has five children and nine grandchildren. She and Ken have lived in Vero Beach since 2000. Sue served for three years as Chairperson of the Women’s Ministry Counsel at First Church of God and currently teaches women’s Bible Study. The Lord has given her a great love for all His women and she feels privileged to serve in Women’s Ministry. Sue received salvation as a child and her love for the Lord Jesus Christ has only grown throughout the years as He, through the Holy Spirit, has nurtured, convicted, forgiven and drawn her closer to Himself. It is her great pleasure to serve Him as He desires.

Jody and Nicole have served on The Buggy Bunch Board of Trustees since 2012. They have been married for 8 years and have four beautiful children. Nicole is a nurse and Jody is a firefighter. They both see The Buggy Bunch living out its mission on a daily basis. Nicole is involved in the Bible Study, Discipleship Groups and attends the Monthly Mamas Meeting. Their family has also attended annual Buggy Bunch camping trips and date nights.

Pamela Kae Bjorkman is an ordinary Christian with an extraordinary God, who is blessed every day by His grace, mercy and love. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for Indian River Charter High School and The Buggy Bunch. She has also served on the board of VNA/Hospice and Indian River Chamber of Commerce. She has received numerous accolades throughout her career, including Jaycee Outstanding Young Woman of the Year (Coral Gables); Kenwood Elementary Volunteer of the Year (Miami); President of Real Estate Publishing Company (Vero Beach); and Ambassador of the Year for the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce. She was also the first person awarded “Affiliate of the Year” for the Indian River County Realtor’s Association and the first person awarded the Indian River County “Character Counts! Employee of Good Character” Award. Pamela has also volunteered on the first “Women Build” home for Habitat for Humanity through Genesis Church. She gets great fulfillment working with The Buggy Bunch because of her opportunities to encourage, mentor and reach out to moms and extend God’s love. She enjoys reading, swimming, international travel, and has never met a piece of chocolate she did not love!

Sue was born in Marlborough, Massachusetts and is married to Ralph Carter ("The Maine Yankee Woodworker"). They have two sons, two daughters and five grandsons. She graduated from Marlborough High School in Massachusetts and later attended Fisher Junior College in Boston, Barry University in Miami Shores, and the University of Maine in Orono. She is a retired counselor, teacher and administrative assistant with the School District of Indian River County. She is also a retired volunteer for Indian River County EMS where she served as an EMT and the Indian River County Sheriff's Office where she volunteered as a Victim Advocate. Sue currently attends Pillar Community Church where she serves as a Prayer Team coordinator. Sue volunteers at the American Cancer Society Relay for Life Leadership Team/Ambassador and in the Military Moms Prayer Group. Sue is inspired by the leadership and vision of The Buggy Bunch.

Ryan Cobb has been a member of the Board since 2012. Ryan, and his wife Sarah, had the first of their three children in 2010. This life event brought Sarah to The Buggy Bunch where she was welcomed into the community of moms. Sarah’s involvement in The Buggy Bunch has benefited every member of their family. Ryan decided to join the Board because of its important mission, effective leadership, and lasting impact on our wonderful community. Additionally, Kelly Sartain’s passion for the future of The Buggy Bunch was contagious and Ryan credits its growth to a great compilation of leaders, employees, volunteers and members. Ryan believes a happy mom equals a happy life and, in Ryan’s opinion, the Buggy Bunch plays a vital role in achieving that mission.

Courtney DiPietro is a third generation Vero Beach native. She joined the Board of Directors of The Buggy Bunch in July 2017. She currently works as the Business Development Director for Chick-fil-a of Vero Beach and also finds time to homeschool her two youngest children. Her husband of over 15 years, Bip, is a local business owner and they have four children. Courtney’s passion for strengthening and enriching the families of Indian River County found a home with The Buggy Bunch. She is excited to be part of a non-profit that supports families so readily and with such a variety of programs, regardless of their socioeconomic status or religion. Courtney’s main hobby is spending time with her family, but she also makes time for tennis.

April Fields has been a Buggy Bunch Board Member since 2017. She owns a local gift basket and desserts business, Fields Family Baskets, Gifts, Photos & More, which opened a store front in August 2017. She volunteers with several community groups and helps homeless families. April participates in many of The Buggy Bunch programs, including Bible Studies, Mom’s Night In, and playgroups. She has found support and fellowship through The Buggy Bunch and is excited to help them spread the Gospel. She is originally from Fort Pierce and her marriage to Antonio in 2014 moved her to Vero Beach. She has three children and is grateful for what God has blessed her family with and is excited for what He has in store for her.

Michael Kelley was born and raised in Miami Shores, Fl and graduated from Wheaton College in 2006. He married Jamison in 2012 in North Carolina. The following year, they moved to Vero Beach to operate the Chick-fil-A at Indian River Mall. They have three sons, Luke, Stephen and Matthew. Prior to managing Chick-fil-A, Michael worked as a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones and worked for Wheaton College as the Southeast Regional Director of Development. Michael also enjoys playing and coaching sports, particularly basketball.

Manley Kilgore has lived in Jacksonville, Fl for over 40 years. He has four children and eight grandchildren. Manley is happily retired after serving his community as a neurologist since 1974 and Chief of Neurology at Baptist Medical Center in downtown Jacksonville for 25 years. Baptist Medical Center received recognition from Newsweek as one of the nation’s top 50 hospitals in Neurology and Neurosurgery during Manley's last year of service. The Jacksonville Business Journal awarded Manley its 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award for Heroes in Medicine. In his free time he enjoys hunting with his grandsons, off shore fishing, UF football, and traveling.

Ashley Lombardo has enjoyed participating with The Buggy Bunch since its inception and began serving on the board in 2016. A Vero Beach native, Ashley is a realtor with The Star Team at Treasure Coast Sotheby’s International Realty. She also serves as a Guardian ad Litem in Indian River County, advocating in court for children. She has hosted many international exchange students in her home throughout the years, and she and her husband Rick have three children, Zach, Jillian, and Michaele. She firmly believes in the mission of The Buggy Bunch and feels it is truly changing Indian River County.

Teresa Pastor and her husband George have been married since 1988 and have lived in Vero Beach since 1991. Their growing family includes two daughters, Rachel and Grace; two sons, Daniel and Andrew; and a granddaughter, Lia. Teresa has enjoyed homeschooling her children and teaching other students literature, writing, and apologetics. She also edits part time. Teresa enjoys getting to know other moms at The Buggy Bunch Bible studies and exercise classes, and she looks forward to serving them as a member of the board.

Erin grew up in Milwaukee, WI and met her husband, Joe, in college during a semester abroad in Europe. Joe is from Minnesota, and both he and Erin had always wanted to live in a warmer climate. After marrying in 2006, they moved to Vero Beach where Erin is a part time office manager at Indian River Acupuncture and Joe is a teacher. Erin and Joe have a son, Noah, and a daughter, Leah. Erin has been a part of The Buggy Bunch from its beginning and serves on the Board of Directors and on the Leadership Team as part of the Correspondence committee. Erin loves The Buggy Bunch and is so thankful for the opportunities it has given her to not only make new friends, but to support other moms in our community as well.
Kelly, a stay at home mother who grew up in Jacksonville, Florida, has a heart for sharing the love of Jesus Christ with moms in our community and as a result said that she felt called to start TBB a little over a year ago with three other women. She currently serves on The Buggy Bunch Board of Directors and is the Executive Director of the ministry. Kelly was married to Mark Sartain in May, 2005 and she worked in corporate America for 10 years before leaving to stay at home with her daughter, Elizabeth Ann, whom she gave birth to in 2008. The couple welcomed their second son, William, in 2012. As for Kelly, her interests include traveling and she counts Africa, Israel, and Europe, among the lengthy list of places she has already visited. But out of all the places she has visited, she still says Clemson and the Carolina Mountains are her favorite. Kelly and Mark also own Sartain and Associates, a local Landscape Architecture boutique design firm.
Rebecca Schlitt is a mother of four who works part time from her home as an internal auditor for a major heath insurance company & teaches Yoga and Cycling at Christi's Family Fitness. She moved to Vero Beach in early 2011 to be closer to family, having previously lived in Orlando, Jacksonville & Tallahassee. Rebecca graduated from Florida State University with a Masters of Accounting in 2000, has worked in public accounting & internal audit since that time and is currently a licensed CPA. She is married to Terry Schlitt who is the Youth Director at Holy Cross Catholic Church & is an engineer working for MBV Engineering.
Bill and Suzanne Shaw have served on The Buggy Bunch Board of Trustees since 2009. They have a passion for evangelism and discipleship and have seen the fruit of The Buggy Bunch ministry. Bill and Suzanne are residents of Venice, Florida. They have two daughters, ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Bill, a chemical engineer, retired from Eagle Performance Products, a company he formed in 1974 to manufacture fire retardant chemicals for textile fabrics. Suzanne has her Masters Degree in Guidance and Counseling and both Bill & Suzanne have enjoyed coaching young couples for the past 20 years. They ride bicycles, swim, kayak and golf in their free time.

Dawn West has been a member of The Buggy Bunch since 2009. She currently serves on the Board of Trustees and is the Talented Tots chairperson. She is an Exceptional Student Education teacher at Imagine Schools and works at Christi’s Fitness as a Mommy & Me instructor. She joined The Buggy Bunch after moving to Vero from Georgia with her husband and 15 month old son and having her second child just 8 weeks later. Dawn has experienced firsthand how much The Buggy Bunch strives to grow relationships with moms and bring them to Christ. She met her husband in Seminary school in New Orleans. In her free time, Dawn enjoys running and reading.
Favorite Children’s Book: The Tale of Three Trees, by Angela Elwell Hunt
Tara Wright met her husband Shane when she was 15 and married him five years later while attending the University of Kentucky. Together they have three children, Drew, Luke, and Hope. Though her children were past the “buggy” stage, in 2013, she started getting involved in The Buggy Bunch and knew God was calling her towards this amazing ministry. Outside of her commitment to TBB, she homeschools her three children and tutors a class of 13-15 year olds each week in an academic program called Classical Conversations. Tara loves to travel and has a passion for orphaned children. She attends Calvary Chapel Vero Beach with her family. Her favorite scripture at this moment is Psalm 46:10: "Be still and know that I am God."
